MP RTE PROTAL

Application Process: Online applications are submitted through the official MP RTE portal.

Eligibility for Admission : Children from disadvantaged groups and weaker sections residing in Madhya Pradesh.

Under Section 12(1)(c) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, the following children are eligible for admission:

Disadvantaged Groups:

• • Scheduled Castes (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST)
  • Families holding forest land pattas (leases)
  • Denotified Tribes
  • Children with disabilities (as per certificate issued by the Medical Board)
  • Children affected by HIV

Economically Weaker Sections:

• Children from families living below the poverty line
• Orphaned children who have been included in the economically weaker section category by the State Government
• Beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Child Welfare Scheme for the education, financial assistance, and food security of children orphaned due to the death of their parents/guardians from COVID-19

Age Criteria (Approx.): Generally, 3-5 years for nursery/pre-school and 5-7 years for Class 1, based on the cutoff date (usually April 1, 2026).

Expected Timeline:

• Registration: March 2026.
• Lottery Result: May 2026.

Required Documents: Aadhar card, birth certificate, income certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and residence proof.
